Vîro Board Game Concept
From 2011 through 2013, I lived in Tucson, Arizona with my now wife while she worked toward earning her PhD at the University of Arizona. While in the deep desert of Tucson, I found fun in joining the tabletop gaming community that thrives there. I also occasionally proofread the manuscripts my wife wrote for agricultural engineering journals.
While reading one of these manuscripts about microbiological contamination of food, inspiration struck and I set to work designing a strategy board game with a subtle microbiological theme and dice odd mechanics. It tested quite well with the gaming community in Tucson and received high praise, but upon moving to the San Francisco Bay Area, I became very busy and this project was shelved, never making it past the prototype phase.
